The Mirror Crack’d

You wake up one morning to a world without mirrors. How does your life — from your everyday routines to your perception of yourself — change?

Real beauty would now be seen! What an amazing thing that would be! No one would be able to hide behind the mask of makeup, and we wouldn’t need as much time to “get ready”. It would be the most awesome thing because self ridicule would nearly stop!

For me personally, it wouldn’t be that difficult at all. I don’t wear makeup, nor dye my hair, and my clothes are just that…clothes. Nothing fancy. I don’t spend a lot of time getting ready, and my time in front of the mirror is limited, so I don’t think I would have a hard time. I have no problem asking my husband how I look, and if something needs fixing, he’ll tell me.

We’d have to depend on what others see…which is always different than what we see. For once, we have to see ourselves through the eyes of others.

  1. Our friend big Mick doesn’t use mirrors, we were playing golf and he put his golfing jumper on back to front with the club logo on his back, and we let him play 9 holes before somebody told him. He now looks in the mirror.
