Dictionary, Shmictionary

Time to confess: tell us about a time when you used a word whose meaning you didn’t actually know (or were very wrong about, in retrospect).

As a writer (or as someone who enjoys writing and does it often), I can’t even say that I use words whose meanings I do not know. I often look up words in both a dictionary and thesaurus in order to better under the meaning. And using these tools is a very intellengent thing to do! So, stop taking shortcuts by using words you don’t know. There are plenty of free online tools to help.

I’ve now removed myself from the soapbox! Have a great weekend everyone!
